Guidelines for Appropriate Survey Content on Survey Builder

To maintain the integrity of the surveys hosted on Survey Builde​r, we have set the following content restrictions. Please review th​es​e guidelines before creating and launching your surveys.

• Content Limits:
  • We encourage diverse survey topics, but certain subject matters require special consideration to ensure they are handled appropriately and responsibly. Survey content related to alcohol, tobacco, drugs, ​gaming, pornography, and requests for Personally Identifiable Information (PII) will undergo a manual review before launch.
  • Please note that this review process might lead to a launch delay of up to 24 hours, so plan your timeline accordingly.
• Age-Appropriate and Legitimate Purpose:
  • Surveys addressing alcohol, tobacco, firearms, ​gaming, and/or legal narcotics are allowed but must adhere to age-appropriate restrictions. Furthermore, they should serve a legitimate market research purpose to provide valuable insights.
• Prohibited Content:
  • Certain content falls outside the boundaries of acceptable survey material. Surveys referencing illegal narcotics, pornography, offensive language, non-research-related marketing or advertisements, and requests for consumers’ personally identifiable information for non-research purposes will not be approved. We uphold high standards for research and ethical conduct in the surveys hosted on our platform.
• Panel Poaching/Follow Ups:
  • Survey Builder users are prohibited from creating surveys intended to recruit respondents to external survey panels or platforms, as well as offering extra incentives or follow-ups for such recruitment. 

If your survey contains any of the following restricted content, you will receive a notice (see below) that your survey is subject to review before launch. These screens will show when testing and launching your survey. Due to the nature of the study, restricted content may delay requests for immediate launch by up to 24 hrs, if submitting during business hours Monday-Friday (8am-6pm PST).

Adhering to these do's and don'ts ensures that your surveys uphold ethical standards, provide valuable insights, and reaches your target audience effectively.
