Crosstabs Anatomy

  1. Your Survey Questions are displayed in the left-hand column. It displays all questions and variables from your Survey. To create your Crosstab table, drag and drop individual questions to the Rows/Columns or select multiple questions to add at once.
  2. Columns represent the banner points you want to display on your table. The banner points are created from dragging your desired questions or variables into the Column section. To nest two variables together, such Gender and Age, simply drag and drop them on top of one another.
  3. Rows represent the horizontal row of the table. These include the responses to the specific questions, nets, and summary rows. The Rows are created from dragging your desired questions or variables into the Rows section.
  4. To remove selections from all Rows and Columns, select Cancel.
  5. To create a table by applying the selections made from Rows and Columns, select Apply.
  6. Tables represent the crosstab report that is created from the selected questions in the Rows and Columns. This visualization is effective for showing relationships between two or more variables.
  7. The Display dropdown allows the user to customize their table. The user can enable the cells to show counts, percentages, show row totals, show column totals, show Question ID, show the Mean. Also, the user is able to show up to 2 decimal points.
  8. The Analyze dropdown gives the user the ability to select up to two Statistical Testing boxes. Either 99%, 95%, and 90% level of significance can be shown. This is often expressed in terms of the confidence level, where higher percentages indicate a greater likelihood that significant differences do not result from chance. Those areas are indicated with a blue circle.
  9. The Options dropdown allows you undo, redo, and publish your Crosstab. The user can also upload Open Ends for coding.

  11. Significance Testing is indicated by the blue circle on the table. In this example, 95% significance is indicated by an uppercase letter and 90% significance is indicated by lowercase letters.

Filters

To customize and edit filters... select the banner point from the Columns.

  1. Rename the column by entering the Column Name.
  2. Hide certain stubs or variables by selecting the eye symbol.
  3. Save your work to implement the changes on the table.
